Installation Note:

Atomos recommends that your SHOGUN CONNECT is plugged into mains power before commencing the firmware update.

  1. Insert a compatible, formatted HDD/SSD into the Docking Station.
  2. Unzip the downloaded file and copy the ATOMSGC.FW file to the root of the HDD/SSD.
  3. Eject the HDD/SSD (according to operating system guidelines).
  4. Insert the HDD/SSD into the SHOGUN CONNECT.
  5. Power on the SHOGUN CONNECT and the firmware update process will begin automatically.
  6. If your SHOGUN CONNECT is already powered on, you will be prompted to perform the firmware update when a drive containing new firmware is inserted.
  7. Once the update is complete, your SHOGUN CONNECT will power itself down.
  8. Power your SHOGUN CONNECT back on.
  9. To verify if the firmware update was successfully completed, navigate to the main menu and scroll to the info tab.

Note: Once firmware 10.82.00 is successfully installed on the SHOGUN CONNECT, the unit reboots to update the hardware modules. Do not interrupt the firmware installation process.

You can now stream to Facebook Live and Custom RTMP Destinations

Note: Due to the large number of streaming and social media platforms that accept custom RTMP sources for live streaming, it is not possible to test every available option. Please take a look at our FAQ article that lists the platforms that have been tested so far, and don't hesitate to reach out to our support team if a streaming platform you'd like to use isn't available. https://atomos.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/sections/205529868-Setup-connectivity

Note: Currently, this device only supports streaming to sites that don't require authentication unless they accept it as part of the URL.
