50% brighter 30% thinner
Atomos has been developing industry leading monitoring and recording technology for over a decade. This experience has allowed us to develop the all new slimline Shinobi monitor range with a lightweight design 30% thinner while also incorporating our renowned HDR screen processing technology with a display that is 50% brighter than before!
Shinobi II is the ultimate digital filmmakers’ monitor, combining the trusted professional tools of the Shinobi range with powerful additional features.
On-screen camera controls and touch-to-focus on many of the worlds best cameras offer fast, one-touch image adjustments, while advanced features like anamorphic desqueeze and EL ZONEâ„¢ false color provide greater accuracy for professional monitoring.
Camera Control
Using intuitive, on-screen sliders you can adjust white balance, lens aperture, shutter speed/angle and ISO. A red edge display indicates when the camera is recording internally, whether triggered by the camera or from the Shinobi II.
Shinobi II can control most Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Panasonic, and Sony mirrorless cameras over USB-C, and all Z CAM E2 series models (LANC cable required, purchased separately).
Touch to Focus
Tap the Shinobi II touchscreen to have the camera automatically focus on your point of interest. Touch to Focus takes advantage of camera focus modes such as focus tracking for effortless control and sharp images. Available in AtomOSÂ 11.03.00Â and above with supported cameras.
Perfect for video and photography. Set up your shots accurately using our advanced histograms, waveforms and videoscopes. A multi-tool Analysis View gives you all the essential info at a glance.
There’s even a selfie Mirror Mode for vloggers. Shinobi II is the perfect accessory to improve any photo or video production.
Shutter release allows photo capture triggering directly from the Shinobi II’s touchscreen. This is particularly useful when shooting multiple exposures for HDR bracketing, focus stacking, or similar workflows.
Monitoring tools
Shinobi II runs on our AtomOS platform and offers a comprehensive suite of scopes, simple one-touch operations, and extensive monitoring tools for focus, framing, and exposure, including focus peaking, zoom (4:1, 2:1, 1:1), zebras, false color (Atomos, ARRI, and EL ZONEâ„¢ colorized exposure modes), frame guides, SMPTE safe areas, grid markers, waveforms, an RGB parade, vectorscope, multi-view analysis, and flexible 3D/1D LUT support with profile and preset options (including .cube file uploads via SD card). Additionally, Shinobi II provides anamorphic de-squeeze monitoring (2x, 1.8x, 1.79x, 1.65x, 1.6x, 1.5x, 1.33x, 1.25x) to correct the ratio for anamorphic lens setups.

Brightness
With its stunning 5-inch, 10-bit HDR/SDR display, Shinobi II lets you see your images clearly, even in bright daylight. The 1500 nit screen features a special anti-reflective coating and anti-fingerprint technology.
High Dynamic Range
You can view 10+ stops of dynamic range from Log/PQ/HLG signals. Shinobi’s unique HDR monitoring features help you simplify the complexities of shooting Log and HDR, because it is possible to replicate post-production workflows when it matters most – while you are shooting.
Calibrated
Calibration is the key to a trustworthy monitor. Shinobi II can be calibrated with Calibrite Display Pro HL / Plus HL probe, and using the Atomos Calibrator app, for ongoing accurate HDR and Rec.709 monitoring. Accurate monitoring ensures reliable results.

Slim & lightweight
Shinobi is all about portability, and even though we’ve added more hardware functionality, we’ve redesigned and reshaped its body to keep the weight down to just 210 grams. Lightweight and elegant, Shinobi II is your camera’s new best friend.
Unique cable locking system
Atomos has developed a unique and rugged locking ecosystem to maintain a secure grip on connected HDMI and USB-C cables and Shinobi II is supplied with a special bracket to facilitate this. With Atomos locking cables (purchased separately) it is the most robust capture cable system available today. Shinobi II is also fully compatible with standard, non-locking cables.
Flexible power options
Power the Shinobi with industry-standard Sony NP-F batteries, via AC with the Atomos battery eliminator, or USB-C PD with a USB charging dock or a USB power bank for maximum versatility. Available separately from the Atomos online shop or your favourite professional reseller.
